How would you describe the atmosphere at Texas State?
I would describe the atmosphere at Texas State as supportive. Even when I was 200 miles away from the place that I called home, I always felt like my fellow Bobcats were there to lean on.
Why did you choose to become an admission counselor?
I chose to become an Admission Counselor because I was once a high school student that could have really used an advocate. In high school, I didn't know about financial aid, degree programs or even how to apply to college. I know my experience would have been much less stressful with the help of a counselor. I love doing whatever I can to improve the lives of incoming Bobcats.
What is your favorite tradition at Texas State?
My favorite Texas State tradition is the Ring Ceremony. During the ceremony in Strahan Coliseum, students dip their rings into a fountain of San Marcos River water. For me, the Ring Ceremony signified a huge step in my academic journey.
