What advice do you have for future students?
Step out of your comfort zone! Get connected! Explore! Grow! Your time in college will prepare you for the rest of your life. Experiencing new and exciting events will allow you to grow and become the best you can be. College is just as much about life experience as it is the great education that you will receive at Texas State.
How would you describe the atmosphere at Texas State?
Personal – which can be surprising at such a large university! You are able to feel like an individual while exploring numerous majors, organizations and opportunities that could fit any interest. Your individual growth and future are of genuine interest through the Living-Learning Communities and PACE program.
Why did you choose to become an admission counselor?
I became an admission counselor because I want to invest in today’s youth. I strive to be a positive example while there are so many negative influences out in the world. I was also the first person in my immediate family to go off to college, so I want to be able to give the same support to college bound students that I received.
