Application Fee and Waivers
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions charges a non-refundable application fee of $75. If you have submitted your application through the ApplyTexas website without paying this fee, you may pay the application fee using the link below.
Texas State does grant application fee waivers for applicants who meet certain criteria and demonstrate financial need. The application fee waiver program is designed to cover the cost of applying for admission to Texas State University’s undergraduate programs. International applicants and applicants seeking a second bachelor's degree cannot qualify for the fee waiver option and are required to pay the application fee.
Application fee waivers are subject to the approval of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and are granted based on evidence of financial need. To qualify for an application fee waiver, you must be a United States citizen, permanent resident or a student identified under Senate Bill 1528 and demonstrate that paying the application fee causes a serious financial hardship.
- Complete and submit a FAFSA or TASFA which indicates full Pell Grant eligibility. The FAFSA opens on October 1, 2016 for the 2017-18 academic year. The TASFA also becomes available on October 1, 2016.
For Fall 2018, you may demonstrate that you qualify for an application fee waiver through one of the following options:
