Freshman Applicant Resources
Who is a freshman applicant?
Freshman applicants are current high school students who plan on attending Texas State the semester after high school graduation. They are also students who have already graduated from high school but have not taken any classes at a college or university.
When applying to Texas State, your overall academic record is the most important part of your application, but we'll also look at what you've done outside the classroom. Look at our freshman requirements to learn what it takes to become a Bobcat.
We highly encourage students to write one essay for their application. You can find the essay topics and learn about writing essentials that make for a good essay on our Admission Essay web page.
If you have already submitted your application, please log in to your ApplyTexas account if you wish to add an essay.
