Freshman-transfer students are high school graduates who are attempting to transfer between 1-29 college credit hours. To be considered for admission, freshman-transfer applicants must have completed and submitted the following documentation to the Texas State Office of Undergraduate Admissions by the assigned deadline. Please Note: Texas State is NOT responsible for contacting your previous college(s) to request an official transcript(s). You are expected to contact the college(s) to request that your official transcript(s) be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This should be done early to ensure the transcript is received in our office by the deadline.
University Housing Policy: In support of the educational mission of the university and the value of on-campus life to the academic success of most students, all unmarried students under 21 years of age who have completed fewer than (52) credit hours must reside in university housing . Students are required to sign a room and board contract that is binding for the full academic year or summer terms. Exceptions may be granted if a student lives at a parent's or legal guardian's permanent home within a sixty-mile radius from Texas State.
