Texas State University-San Marcos will review course work from educational experience obtained in the Armed Forces. It is the student's responsibility to obtain and submit the proper forms to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Submissions are to be sent to:

Upon receipt of the official transcripts, the Admissions Office will use the "Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experience in the Armed Services" for evaluating course work. Evaluations will be completed after you have enrolled for courses at Texas State, and transfer credit is subject to approval by the student's major department.
Texas State will grant credit for the lower and upper-division baccalaureate category but does not award credit of vocational or graduate level work.

To obtain an official transcript from the Community College of the Air Force, send a completed AF FORM 2099 or a brief letter requesting a transcript to the address shown below. A certificate of training must accompany the request. Specify the type of transcript (personal or official) and the address to which the transcript needs to be mailed. Provide the proper information such as full name, social security number and official signature. Official transcripts will be mailed only to institutions. There is no charge for the transcript.
Note: Credit from the Community College of the Air Force will be recorded as technical and vocational with the exception of four hours of physical education activity credit. Send letter requesting transcript to:

Four hours of physical education activity credit will be awarded by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions upon receipt of FORM DD214 that verifies one consecutive year of active military duty.
All service members should have received a copy of the DD214 at time of discharge. If a veteran does not have a copy, one may be obtained along with other in-service training records from:
