Getting Accepted: Transfers with 30+ Hours

Transfer Admission Standards

Students who have earned 30 or more transferable credit hours and have been out of high school for at least one semester (not including summer) must meet the below criteria to be admitted to Texas State.

Test credits (AP, IB, CLEP) are not considered for transfer admission purposes.

Transferable credit and a completed application must be submitted before the deadline for the semester to which you are applying.

Texas State will transfer as many transferable hours as a student has taken. However, only up to 66 hours will be applied to a student's degree program when transferring from a two year institution.
