What advice do you have for future students?
Start early with taking tests, applying for scholarships and talking to your counselor and parents about college. Make contact with a representative at the school you are applying to and ask lots of questions. Visit college and university campuses.
What are three things you love about Texas State?
- The fact that the people are very friendly, from the president down to the staff and students. Everyone I have encountered are willing to say hello, smile and help you any way possible.
- I love that we have a great campus look. The buildings architecture, the art and statues, the overall campus atop a hill that overlooks San Marcos, the river and the beautiful views.
- Texas State has nationally acclaimed faculty and nationally ranked majors. We have some great majors, departments, and organizations such as Sound Recording Technology, Athletic Training, Geography, Manufacturing Engineering, the Honors Program, the Students in Free Enterprise Team (SIFE), and many more. There is so much to be excited about and much more to come.
