What advice do you have for future students?
College isn’t only about attaining a degree. It is about developing intellectually, culturally, and personally. If you’re the same person at graduation as you were the first day of class freshmen year, you’re not prepared for the “real world.” Get involved. Make new friends. Try something new, even if you think you’ll hate it. Life is “change!” …and if you’re not changing with it, you’ll be left behind.

What are three things you love about Texas State?

• Our fun, active, friendly student body;
• Insane amounts of student services and resources;
• And, our beautiful campus with the San Marcos River to float almost everyday of the year.

Why did you choose to become an admission counselor?
Besides the amazing collegiate experiences one could have, having a degree is essential for individuals to be successful in today’s job market. I want to help students achieve both… and Texas State is a great place to attain both!
