Physics Visits

At a Physics Visit you will have the opportunity to learn more specifically about the Department of Physics and its bachelor's degree programs in the College of Science and Engineering, as well as research opportunities at Texas State. You will also be able to experience our campus and get a glimpse into life as a Bobcat.

What to Expect

The Physics Visit is uniquely designed to provide you with information about the academic and cultural environment at Texas State. The program includes an admissions presentation and student-guided tour of our San Marcos campus. You will also take a tour of the Roy F. Mitte Building and its laboratory spaces*, which include the only simulated rocket motor in operation at a U.S. university and one of only four university-operated foundries in the U.S.

*Long pants and closed-toe shoes required in labs.
