Designated a leading military school by G.I. Jobs Magazine, Texas State University is committed to meeting the needs of college-bound veterans. An extension of this commitment, Veteran Visit Day at Texas State is a unique program designed to provide active duty and retired service members information regarding the undergraduate admission process as well as our academic majors, financial assistance programs, and various student services. Sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Admission, this half-day event will also include representatives from Veteran Affairs, Financial Aid, and Academic Advising to assist you.

Partially self-paced, Veteran Visit Day enables you to obtain information that is both timely and vital to the application and enrollment processes.

  • Take a campus tour
  • Interact with current students and members of the Veterans Alliance of Texas State
  • Speak with representatives from areas across campus including undergraduate admissions, veteran affairs, financial aid, academic advising and career services

Veteran Visit Day Schedule*

12:45 p.m. - 1:00 pm. Check-In Check-In and pick up schedule. Welcome Center - 3rd Floor
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Campus Tour Take a student guided tour of the campus. Campus tours take about one hour. Wear comfortable shoes. Texas State Campus
2:15 p.m. - 3:15 pm. Area Information Sessions This session will include a series of short presentations from office representatives. No worries, we've made sure to include plenty of time to answer your questions. Welcome Center - 3rd Floor
3:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. V.A.T.S. Student Panel Get a first hand account of the Texas State experience from members of the Veterans Alliance of Texas State, a chartered student veteran organization.  Texas State Campus
4:00 p.m Resource and Services Browse Peak inside the inviting and comfortable space that houses the V.A.T.S. organization and learn more about a variety of student services offered by Texas State. LBJ Student Center
