Large Group Tours (10+)

The Texas State Visitor Center provides information and tours to large or sponsored groups interested in visiting our campus. Organizations bringing groups should register below. To provide you with the best possible service, we ask that you register your group at least two weeks in advance. Once your request is received, our Visitor Center Coordinator will contact you. (In order to better serve you, we recommend groups of 100 people or less.)
 
Large Group Tours are provided Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. throughout the year. Our office is unable to provide tours during TAKS testing or university final exams (May 5-12, 2009). The university is closed on New Year’s Day, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.


Large Group Registration

Proposed Visit ScheduleStudents in the quad

  • Arrive on Campus 20 minutes prior to schedule visit.
  • Campus Tour (1 hour)
  • Admission/Financial Aid Information Session (30 - 45 minutes)

Before Your Group Arrives on Campus

If you will be arriving in a bus, please let your bus driver know that they will be required to park at Bobcat Stadium after dropping you off at the LBJ Student Center bus loop.

 

Chaperones

As a safety precaution, we ask that all groups be accompanied by at least 2 adults. We strongly recommend 1 adult for every 15 - 25 students.

 

 

Meal Tickets

Due to budget constraints our office is unable to provide meal tickets for Large Groups. Please contact the Visitors Center if you have questions regarding meal tickets.

 

Cancelations and No Shows

Because our office happily invests valuable time and resources to provide Large Group Tours, we strongly advise you to contact the Visitors Center as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your Large Group Tour.  If you do not call ahead to cancel your Large Group Tour, we are not inclined to reschedule your group in the future.
