Transfer Information Session

At our Transfer Information Sessions you will have the opportunity to experience Texas State and get a glimpse into life as a Bobcat. Our Transfer Information Session is uniquely designed to assist incoming transfer students.

In an effort to make this program as personalized as possible, we have a set capacity of 35 students for each Transfer Information Session. Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. Therefore, once capacity has been reached, we will no longer take reservations.

What to Expect

Transfer Information Sessions provide an opportunity for you to explore the academic and cultural environment of Texas State. While visiting campus you can:

Take a campus tour.

Learn about transfer admission requirements.

Meet with an admission counselor.

Turn in official documents such as your ApplyTexas application, official transcripts from all schools you have attended, and a non-refundable application fee.

If you require accommodations due to a disability in order to participate, please contact the Visitors Center by email or at 512.245.8871 at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled Transfer Information Session.

Where: Visitors Center
What: Register

12:00 p.m.

Campus Tour

Where: Begins at Visitors Center
What: Take a guided walking tour of the campus. Tours take about one hour. Wear comfortable shoes!

1:00 p.m.

Admission Requirement Overview

Where: LBJ Student Center
What: Revisit transfer admission requirements and have the opportunity to speak with an off-campus commuter representative.

2:00 p.m.

Q & A Session (Optional)

Where: LBJ Student Center
What: Have your questions answered in a one-on-one session with an Admission Counselor.
