Online or Distance Education Exemption

Exemption Requirements

Students who are taking Online Only/Distance Education courses and are not taking classes on campus must fill out the Online Only Exemption Form before each semester.

After Completion

Once completed and signed, please send the exemption form to the appropriate office:

Undergraduate Admissions - admissions@txstate.edu

Graduate College - GradCollege@txstate.edu

The Online Only/Distance Education courses will be verified with the Registrar’s Office. If any course is “Face-to-Face Instruction,” the request will be denied. Once verified, the hold will be satisfied and the student will be notified.

Note:

  • Student’s course schedule will be monitored.
  • Should the student register for any course that is not online only, they will be dropped from that course and a hold will be placed on their record for the meningitis vaccination.
  • The Online Only Exemption Form must be submitted for each semester the student intends to take online classes, and is only valid for the semester stated on the form.
