New Student Orientation (NSO)

If you've been admitted to Texas State, your next step is signing up for New Student Orientation. During NSO, you'll learn more about Texas State's resources. After completing NSO, you'll connect with an academic advisor and register for classes.

In order to best serve our incoming students, all New Student Orientation (NSO) programs are ONLINE.

Additional information about this delivery format will be provided to students as they sign up.

Family & Guest NSO

We will offer optional programming for Bobcat families and guests as a part of online NSO. Learn more about Texas State and how you can support your new Bobcat! Families are welcome (but not required) to participate.

Meningitis Vaccination

Texas state law (Senate Bill 62) requires that all students who will be under age 22 on their first day of class at a public, private or independent institution of higher education in Texas provide proof of immunization for bacterial meningitis. You will be notified by email if you are required to provide this documentation, and you will not be allowed to register for classes until this requirement is met. If you will be attending an on-campus orientation session, you should submit your documentation at least one week prior to your session date. You can upload your documents, review exemptions and find out where you can get vaccinated online.
