New Student Orientation (NSO)

If you've been admitted to Texas State, your next step is signing up for New Student Orientation. During NSO, you'll be on the most beautiful campus in Texas to learn more about Texas State's resources, meet with an academic advisor and register for classes.
We look forward to hosting all incoming students for a New Student Orientation (NSO) session. Currently, all on-campus sessions will still be held as scheduled. All transfer students have the option of completing an online NSO. If you haven’t already, sign up as soon as possible.

Family & Guest NSO

We offer concurrent programming for Bobcat families and guests during on-campus NSO sessions. Learn more about Texas State and how you can support your new Bobcat! Families and/or guests are welcome (but not required) to attend.

Meningitis Vaccination

Texas state law (Senate Bill 62) requires that all students who will be under age 22 on their first day of class at a public, private or independent institution of higher education in Texas provide proof of immunization for bacterial meningitis. You will be notified by email if you are required to provide this documentation, and you will not be allowed to register for classes until this requirement is met. If you will be attending an on-campus orientation session, you should submit your documentation at least one week prior to your session date. You can upload your documents, review exemptions and find out where you can get vaccinated online.
