Non-Degree Seeking
How to Qualify
To qualify for admission, you must meet one of the following options:
Qualifying Option 1
Verify an overall 2.25 grade point average in your previous college work, and be eligible to return to all previously attended post-secondary institutions
Qualifying Option 2
Have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have not been enrolled in any secondary or post secondary institution for the last three years
How to Apply
Step 1
Fill out the ApplyTexas application
Complete and submit the ApplyTexas Transient Student application, making sure to list all colleges and universities previously attended.
Step 3
Pay for Application
Pay the nonrefundable application fee of $75 (check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express).
Non-degree seeking students are limited to a total of 24 semester hours and must reapply for admission each semester. Work earned as a non-degree seeking student may be applied toward a degree only after you have reapplied and met assured admission requirements.
Courses completed as a non-degree seeking student will not be considered in your admission decision. Students admitted under this option are not eligible for Financial Aid. For more information, contact Anni Judkins, Senior Assistant Director.
