Visiting (Transient)
Admission as a visiting student is only available for the summer sessions. If you have completed college work and are working toward a degree at another college or university, you may be considered for admission to Texas State as a visiting student. To qualify for admission, you must be in good academic standing at your current institution.
How to Apply
To apply, please complete and submit the following:
Step 1
Fill out the ApplyTexas application
Complete and submit the ApplyTexas Transient Student application, making sure to list all colleges and universities previously attended.
Step 2
Submit Transcript
Submit a transcript from your current institution indicating good academic standing.
Step 3
Pay the Application fee
Pay the nonrefundable application fee of $75 (check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express).
Once you have completed your summer course work, you may request a transcript for use at your home institution. Credit and grade points earned as a visiting student will not be used toward admission to Texas State at a future date. For more information, contact Anni Judkins, Senior Assistant Director.
Priority Dates
To apply as a non-degree seeking student, you must complete all steps by the appropriate priority date.
