Family and Guest NSO

Welcome to the New Student Orientation! Family plays an integral role in a student's transition to Texas State.

In order to best serve our incoming students during these uncertain times, we are moving all New Student Orientation (NSO) programs to ONLINE delivery

Additional information about this new delivery format will be available soon. If you have already registered for an on-campus orientation program, you will be receiving additional information on the transition to online delivery in the near future.

New Student Orientation is designed to help your student learn their way around Texas State, connect with campus resources, become familiar with important policies and start to feel what it is like to be a Bobcat. The online orientation modules will also include information for families about how you can support your new Bobcat.

You are also invited to join the Bobcat Family Portal, where you can stay informed about university news and events, and connect with Texas State representatives and other new Bobcat families.

Family Association

The Texas State Family Association has been dedicated to helping Bobcat families remain connected to their student’s university experience since 1976. The Association seeks to promote and sponsor programs that meet the needs of families as well as involve them in the life of the membership and university community alike.
